Koenigsegg logo history
The initial design of the KOENIGSEGG CC has been designed by Christian von KOENIGSEGG. He then went with his sketches to Industrial Designer David Crafoord in order to make sketches in a 1:5 scale model. David then put his personal touch to the design brief and finished the model. This model was then reinforced by Sven-Harry Åkesson in order to create the basis for the plug KOENIGSEGG first prototype was completed in 1996. In the coming years, the prototype has undergone extensive testing and several prototypes were built.
Von KOENIGSEGG had the idea to build his own car after watching the Norwegian puppet movie Pinchcliffe Grand Prix in his youth. [3] However, he made his first steps into the business in its first 20 years running a trading company called Alpraaz in Stockholm, Sweden. Alpraaz food exports from Europe to the developing world. The success of this company gave von KOENIGSEGG the financial capability to launch her career as a car manufacturer.
Initially KOENIGSEGG Automotive was founded in Olofström. In 1997, the company needed larger facilities and moved to Margretetorp, just outside Ängelholm. However, on February 22, 2003, one of the production facilities caught fire and was severely damaged. Beginning in 2003 and converted KOENIGSEGG two major fighter jet hangars and an office building in a car factory. Since the plant is located on the still active Ängelhom airport, customers can get in private jet, right next to the plant. In addition, controls and KOENIGSEGG uses the old track shakedown runs for military production and testing cars at high speed.
KOENIGSEGG The badge was designed in 1994 by Jacob Låftman, based on the shield of KOENIGSEGG family. The shield was the family coat of arms since the 12th century when a family member was knighted by the German-based Holy Roman Empire. The Phantom of the badge KOENIGSEGG rear window is a tribute to the Swedish squadron that operated from the F10 base, which had the ghost of its emblem.
